Esra NEWS Agency: The weekly Akhlaq session of Grand Ayatollah Javadi Amoli was held this week at the Azam Mosque of Qom in with the presence of various groups of people.

Grand Ayatollah Javadi Amoli explained the 127th wisdom of Nahj al-Balaghah in this meeting.

His Eminence said, “The word of His Holiness is «وَ قَالَ (علیه السلام): مَنْ قَصَّرَ فِي الْعَمَلِ ابْتُلِيَ بِالْهَمِّ، وَ لَا حَاجَةَ لِلَّهِ فِيمَنْ لَيْسَ لِلَّهِ فِي مَالِهِ وَ نَفْسِهِ نَصِيبٌ» If someone fails to act, he will be stricken with sorrow, and that person has no relationship with Allah, neither financially nor physically, and is deprived of Allah's grace.”

He said, “The luminous words of Hazrat Amir, like the Holy Quran itself, needs an internal explanation. It means just as the best interpretation of the Qur'an is interpretation through the verses of the Qur'an, the best explanation of the words of Hazrat Amir is to be explained with the other words of Hazrat Amir himself. And of course, external evidence also helps this explanation.”

His Eminence stated, “In the interpretation of faith and Islam, he has stated that their central elements are three elements, one is belief in the heart, the second is following the main rules, and the third is confession in tongue. Sometimes in the statements of Hazrat Amir, these three elements are presented in one hadith, and sometimes these three elements are discussed separately.”

Grand Ayatollah Javadi Amoli said, “Hazrat Amir says in this enlightening speech: «مَنْ قَصَّرَ فِي الْعَمَلِ ابْتُلِيَ بِالْهَمِّ» If someone fails to act, he will be afflicted with grief, which means that his problems will become many. A person who is not used to work does not know the solutions and therefore will be afflicted with grief. If someone works as much as he can, with consultation and motivation to act will solve both your internal problem and the external needs of others. Then Hazrat says: «وَ لَا حَاجَةَ لِلَّهِ فِيمَنْ لَيْسَ لِلَّهِ فِي مَالِهِ وَ نَفْسِهِ نَصِيبٌ.» the person who does not have a relationship with Allah either through the body, that is, he does not strive and struggle, and he does not have charitable and social services in terms of his wealth, such a person who does not have any share in religion in his wealth or in his body, he  would be deprived from  Allah's grace.”

He then stated, “The same topic has been mentioned in several places in Nahj al-Balagha, which he also states in sentence 244: «إِنَّ لِلَّهِ [تَعَالَى] فِي كُلِّ نِعْمَةٍ حَقّاً؛ فَمَنْ أَدَّاهُ زَادَهُ مِنْهَا، وَ مَنْ قَصَّرَ فِيهِ خَاطَرَ بِزَوَالِ نِعْمَتِهِ». Every blessing that Allah grants us has a right and that is gratitude. The best gratification is to spend the blessing in its right place. If we fail to thank it there is a danger that blessings will be taken away from us.”

He said, “One of the enlightened statements of the infallible Imams, peace be upon them, is that if someone give Infaq, Allah will immediately compensate. Then they say that this compensation is like someone taking a bowl of water from a flowing stream, which immediately fills its place. Unlike taking a stone from a garden, which may not be filled soon, but taking a bowl of water from a flowing stream is not like that. if someone does a good deed, Allah will immediately fill its place.”

Grand Ayatollah Javadi Amoli stated, “In 47th letter of Nahj al-Balagha, Amirul Momineen Ali (peace be upon him) said«للَّهَ اللَّهَ فِي الْقُرْآنِ لَا يَسْبِقُكُمْ بِالْعَمَلِ بِهِ غَيْرُكُمْ ». His Holliness says that the main axis of your actions should be the Divine Book and be careful, compete and win. This competition is not about material things. In the competition field, the Holy Qur'an said that first is knowledge called migration, then movement, then speed in movement. The next level is leading in the movement and becoming the imam of Ummat (و اجعلنا للمتقین اماما) may Allah grant me the opportunity to become the Imam in my city, country, and neighborhood, for the good people of the society and they follow my example. It means I should live in such a way that other remembers learn, to teach and produce and manage the country in such a way that others want to learn from us. This is the insistence of religion and this high effort requires correct upbringing and holiness!”

Grand Ayatollah Javadi Amoli then, at the end of his lesson, recited the supplication of Imam Sajjad, peace be upon him, in the book of Sahife Sajjadiyya and prayed that Allah may shower His mercy on the entire human society, especially the Islamic world and especially our country, Iran. The prayer is as follows:

1- O God, water us with rain,

unfold upon us Thy mercy

through Thy copious rain

from the driven clouds,

so that Thy goodly earth may grow

on all horizons!

2- Show kindness to Thy servants

through the ripening of the fruit,

revive Thy land

through the blossoming of the flowers,

and let Thy angels - the noble scribes - be witness

to a beneficial watering from Thee,

lasting in its abundance,

plenty in its flow,

heavy, quick, soon,

3- through which Thou revivest what has vanished,

ringest forth what is coming,

and providest plentiful foods,

through heaped up, wholesome, productive clouds,

in reverberating layers,

the rain's downpour not without cease,

the lightning's flashes not without fruit!

4- O God, give us water through rain,

helping, productive, fertilizing,

widespread, plentiful, abundant,

bringing back the risen,

restoring the broken!

5- O God,

give us water with a watering through which Thou wilt

make the stone hills pour,

fill the cisterns,

flood the rivers,

make the trees grow,

bring down prices in all the lands,

invigorate the beasts and the creatures,

perfect for us the agreeable things of provision,

make grow for us the fields,

let flow for us the teats,

and add for us strength to our strength!

6- O God,

make not the cloud's shadow over us a burning wind,

allow not its coldness to be cutting,

let not its pouring down upon us be a stoning,

and make not its waters for us bitter!

7- O God,

bless Muhammad and his Household

and provide us with the blessings of the heavens and the earth!

Thou art powerful over everything!
