Esra NEWS Agency: A group of representatives of the assembly of Qom seminary's students and scholars met and talked with Grand Ayatollah Javadi Amoli at his house.
According to the reporter of Esra NEWS Agency, in this meeting, Grand Ayatollah Javadi Amoli, thanked the efforts of the Assembly of Representatives for students and scholars and said, “the main axis of the duty of the Howzah, which is the pillar, is two things. They are the same two things that the Most Holy Essence, Allah, has also set the purposes of prophets, one It is "realization" and the other is "Acting accordingly"!”
His Eminence said, “A researcher does scientific work in the Howzeh, teaches well, writes books, but the researcher alone cannot do anything that can establish a link between the system and the people so that the society does not slip and enemy cannot destroy the society and the make doubt in people’s heart. For that we must in addition to being scholar, also we must act accordingly. The main purpose of the Howzeh is both the education of researchers so we have good professors and education and bring up whom act accordingly who are great and pious men.”
He said, “The Holy Quran also emphasizes on these two things and says ﴿يُزَكِّيهِمْ وَ يُعَلِّمُهُمُ الْكِتابَ وَ الْحِكْمَةَ﴾ for become a researcher is in scientific field, acting accordingly is in practical field that are related to magnanimity, dignity and politeness in behavior and speech. The verse of “Nafr” ﴿لِّیتَفَقَّهُوا فِی الدِّینِ وَلِینذِرُوا قَوْمَهُمْ﴾ is also along with “Tafaquh” (deep understanding) and “Indar” (warning). It refers to the fact that one should live both jurisprudently and modestly.”
His Eminence continued, “Tullab and clerics should behave in a way that their manners and habit, deeds, speech, and the way they talk and walk are instructive. They should be both a teacher and a scholar, both a researcher and partitionist. a scholar and teacher of ethics!”
Grand Ayatollah Javadi Amoli said, “We read in the Ziyarat of Aleyasin that «السَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ حِينَ تَقُومُ السَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ حِينَ تَقْعُدُ السَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ حِينَ تَقْرَأُ وَ تُبَيِّنُ» (Peace be upon you while you are standing. Peace be upon you while you are standing. Peace be upon you while you are reading and explaining.) We send greetings, not for example Salam to your night prayer! This also has an educational discussion that we should be like this. These means you are so clean and pure that your walking, standing and talking are a lesson for us and we send blessings on it”.
Grand Ayatollah Javadi Amoli emphasized that the way and tradition of the scholars should be instructive, and stated, “Merely that a cleric is a good person does not solve a problem. Our great scholars said, «مَنْ لا یَنفَعُکَ لَحظُهُ لا یَنفَعُکَ لَفظُه»A scholar whose meeting does not change a person and is not beneficial, his words and speech are not effective either. Clerics must be both scholars and follow their knowledge so that their words have effects in the society. they must be a pillar of goodness and purity so that the society does not shake and refer to them in dangers and temptations.”
