Esra News Agency: The weekly ethics lesson by Ayatollah Javadi Amoli was held today (Wednesday) in the Grand Mosque of Qom, in person and with the presence of various segments of the public.

In this session, Ayatollah Javadi Amoli elaborated on Wisdom 156 of Nahj al-Balaghah.

His Eminence stated: Amir al-Mu'minin Ali, (The Commander of the believers, Imam Ali, peace be upon him) says in this wisdom:

«عَلَيْكُمْ بِطَاعَةِ مَنْ لَا تُعْذَرُونَ بِجَهَالَتِهِ»؛

"On you lies (the obligation of) obedience to the person about whom you are not excused for his ignorance." Choose leaders about whom you can never say that you made a mistake in referring to them; leaders who are not subject to ignorance, forgetfulness, or deviation. The Imam (peace be upon him) emphasizes that you should select a leader such that later you cannot excuse yourself by saying, "He acted this way, and it has nothing to do with us!"

Grand Ayatollah Javadi Amoli, referring to the infallibility of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him and his family) in three stages: teaching, preservation, and propagation, stated: The Noble Prophet of Islam never forgets or makes mistakes, and he is infallible in all stages of guidance.

He continued: This characteristic also exists in the Ahlul-Bayt (peace be upon them), and according to the verse of purification (Aya Tatheer), they are protected from any form of scientific ignorance, practical ignorance, and even unintentional error and forgetfulness. Therefore, we should choose the Prophet and the infallible Imams (peace be upon them) as our leaders so that we are do not encounter with a situation to unwillingly say on the Day of Judgment that we made a mistake!

Most Eminent Grand Ayatollah Javadi Amoli emphasized the role of the Prophet and the Ahlul-Bayt (peace be upon them) as the true guides for humanity, stating that society should follow leaders who possess complete knowledge and awareness of the path of guidance. Just as caravans select guides to examine the route and conditions during their journeys, people should choose leaders who are aware of the reality of the path and the destination. Choosing worthy leaders and following them saves individuals from misguidance and the excuses that arise from incorrect following.

In further elaboration on the concept of divine manifestation, Grand Ayatollah Javadi Amoli noted: In the prayer of the night of the Ascension, we read:

«اَللّهُمَّ اِنّی اَسئَلُکَ بِالتَّجَلِی الاْعْظَمِ فی هذِهِ اللَّیْلَةِ مِنَ الشَّهْرِ الْمُعَظَّمِ»

"O Allah, I ask You by the greatest manifestation on this night of the dignified month." Divine grace is through manifestation, not through distance [separation]! It is not like rain that falls in one place and moves away from another; rather, it is through manifestation. Manifestation means that there is no distance; it is like a rope that is present in all levels of existence and is never separated from the source of divine grace.

In another part of his speech, his dignified referred to the spread of some cultural anomalies and emphasized the importance of religious propagation, stating: Propagation [of religion and faith) is the duty of everyone, even though it is not an easy task in the current circumstances! However, God does not abandon His religion; if we falter in this path, God will preserve His religion through other means. Why shouldn't the preservation of God's religion be through us? This is a high status and a great responsibility.

He also highlighted the significance of sending blessings upon the Prophet in the Quran and Hadith, stressing the necessity of reflecting on the divine verses, and stated that following the path of the Ahlul-Bayt (peace be upon them) will lead to guidance and the illumination of hearts.
