The website of Isra foundation reports: The International Congress on “Solutions for Expanding the Culture of Ghadir and Promoting the Teachings of the Nahj al-Balāghah” was held on Sunday, January 4, 2026, at the Martyr General Soleimani Hall of the Islamic Azad University of Sari.
Elucidating the concept of Wilayah and Imamate in his message to this congress, Grand Ayatollah Javadi Amoli asserted: “The religion that God, the Exalted, has ordained for humanity is the same religion He has appointed for the angels, and its goal is to elevate human beings to a heavenly station.”
His eminence then Noted: “As regards the event of Ghadir, which was related to the declaration of the Wilayah and Imamate of Ali ibn Abi Talib (ʿa), the worthiest of all people for exposition of Ghadir and the station of Imamate is none other than Ali ibn Abi Talib (ʿa) himself.” His eminence then stated: “Our primary duty is, of course to [the propagation of the teachings of] the Holy Quran, but alongside it also to the matter of the revered book of Nahj al-Balāghah: its cataloging, indexing, summarization, explanation, and so forth. The current version of Nahj al-Balāghah never fully conveys the pinnacle of the station of Imamate and Wilayah.”
He emphasized: This revered book, "Tamam Nahj al-Balāghah", must become a central part of our curriculum—both for scholars and for Shi‘ah in general. Indexing (1), cataloging (2), explaining the words (3)—this is a deep ocean that holds many gems. The current book of Nahj al-Balāghah is far from enough for the illustration of the sublime station of Wilāyah and Imamate.
His eminence further asserted: “Certainly, the revered book “Tamam Nahj al-Balāghah” must become a central part of our curriculum, taught both to scholars and to all Shi‘ah in general. What needs to be done with regard to it is: Indexing, cataloging, and a lexicographical study of its words. This is indeed a deep ocean that holds many gems to be found. The current version of the Nahj al-Balāghah is “a fragment of the reality”; it is but a portion of the complete book. Certainly, the book “Tamam Nahj al-Balāghah” must be widely studied in the seminaries and scientific conventions, especially in this land of the followers of Imam Ali (̒a).
